Updated: Aug 19, 2023

The CC reported the quality of scorecards have gone backwards again 😩 as such the commitee have unanimously agreed that any cards not completed in line with the requirements set out below will be dismissed meaning the player wil be disqualified. Nobody wants this to happen over what should be a simple task.

Ensure the the competition is noted

Ensure the date is noted

Ensure your "Printed" name is on the card

Ensure the Markers name is " Printed" on the card

Ensure all scores are legible if you make a mistake strike through it and write beside it ie dont make it a mess.

Ensure the marker signs the card

Ensure you sign the card

Post your card in the box when you are satisfied the card is completed correctly.

If you are still unclear after reading this and the historic posts below, please leave a message on the club phone and someone will try their best to clarify further.

ANY COMPETITION CARDS SUBMITTED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT INCORRECTLY WILL BE DISREGARDED AND THE PLAYER DISQUALIFIED.

--------------

We are still stumbling a bit

1. A reminder if you enter a club competition please dont enter your intent on the club Computer or your mobile App

------------------------------------------------------------

Final Push to get this over the line 🤞

We are almost there but we want to reiterate

1. Can the "marker" please print their name (Player B) as well as signing.

2. Identify by circling what tee your playing off.

3. If you make a mistake stike it through & write beside it dont try to scribe over it 😂.

4. Please pay BEFORE you enter a comp or the deadline to avoid any disappointment.

For newer Members we want to confirm all club Comps are played off White Tee boxes. and putting out is a "must do" unless its stableford and you cant score

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Score cards

It's recognised and appreciated that presentation of score cards has dramatically improved recently, a couple of very small issues would make them even better.

  1. Can the "marker" please print their name (Player B) as well as signing.

  2. A reminder please tear off the course guide before entering them into the box.

Payment / envelopes

1. In regards to payment can you please limit one comp to one envelope to make life a little easier. ps Its more than acceptable for multiple players to enter payment for one comp in one envelope.

2. In your own intrest PLEASE.... ensure you pay for the comp before you play your match.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite a number of previous notices, some of you are obviously still struggling with completing your score card. Therfore in a further attempt to clarify, we set out the following requirements when filling in your card PLEASE:-

Completing your score card:- 1. Competition: this means the comp you are playing in it needs to be completed otherwise your score will NOT be entered. Hopefully this isn’t an unreasonable request.

2. Name: This is your name, please PRINT IT including your surname, hopefully you’ll appreciate in most cases you’re not the only person with your Christian name in the club. Hopefully you don’t think this is an unreasonable request. Ps You also need to print the name of your marker as "Player B"

3. Tees: please indicate which tees you are playing off ie white or yellow.

Nb All club comps are played off White tees.

4. Date : Complete the date on which you played as some competitions are spread over several days.

5. Pairs competition:- please ENTER BOTH SCORES not just the best score and not simply strike through the other as both scores will count towards the individuals WHS.

6. Please remember it is your card (One card cannot be used for 2 players) therefore your responsibility to ensure its completed correctly and signed by both the marker as well as yourself.

If anyone still can’t understand any of the above please speak to the Club secretary or myself or, if you prefer email us & we’ll try and clarify further, hopefully you’ll appreciate it’s unfair on those who have to enter ALL the cards on the computer on a particular day, as they have enough to do reconciling entry names, monies received, and cards returned without trying to interpret, cross ref, consult etc to do so and if not completed correctly you run the risk of being disqualified.

A sample of a typical card showing how it should be completed is attached.
