Club Championship 2025 (The Draw)

3/6/25 Gents: One not to miss

A prestigious Comp over 2 weekends, subject to the number of entries. A cut may occur (only if more than 36 players enter).

The number of entries are divided into 3 categories challenging for

1. John Morgan Cup (snrs Category) John was a local business man who put the trophy forward

2. Intermediate category

3. Junior category (Coombe lodge trophy)

The categories will be decided on the range of indexes from the members who enter the comp.

The Gross score from the Qualifying round gets carried forward and added to the final round.

Winners of "each division" is the person with the lowest combined score (strokeplay)

The winners of the Intermediate & Juniors of this years Competition will go forward to represent the Club in the Mullins Essex Golf Union Competition to be played in Sept (Max 16.0 Handicap Allowance 90%) at Rayleigh Golf Club

The winners of each categories also receive auto entry "for life" to HGC Masters Comp commencing next year .

Don't forget 🤓 The usual rules apply (well maybe 🤔)

1.     Write your name(s) on the sheet in the clubhouse

2.     Pay your £3 entrance fee 

3.     Book onto IG before the draw date if applicable or before you play whichever the sooner (You can book on upto 2 weeks in advance)

4.     Do not enter any intent yourself on EG re-entering a score. The club enters these for you when playing a club comp. 

5.     If you miss the deadline there will be a "reserve list" to enter your name on, if you pay the entrance fee and book onto IG you might? be lucky to get a spot but ONLY if someone drops out, if they don't you will get your money back. 

6.     If after you have entered, you can no longer play please "phone" the club and leave a brief message with your name. No explanation is req'd.
