Unfortunately all good things must come to an end at some point and our involvement in this comp has ended today🥲 loosing 1-2 both home and away ie 2-4 overall.
However let’s not be to downhearted, we done fantastically well to get to the semi finals given the size of our club and the pool of members we have to call upon.
We have circa 150 members whilst many other clubs have 650 plus to draw upon.
If I recall correctly there were a few rounds where we were scratching around to get a team together for the upcoming match whilst we know other clubs have internal knock out rounds to decide who gets a place in the team 😂
As you know the club relies on volunteers in all aspects of management and therefore a special thanks goes to Ian Mulkerrins for volunteering to be team Captain for the Norman Plumb, hopefully🤞 he will do so again next year.
Whilst the Captain is the front man organising fixtures teams, liaising with the opposing team etc etc he also needs help, especially in NP where games are played home & away and in this comp John Underwood was the ever reliable.
Well done everyone who played a part in this years achievement and let’s hope we can go 2 steps further next year by winning the comp. 💪

Well played everyone who took part in the second round of the Norman Plum Trophy. We were blessed with the weather and it all came down to the wire on a hard fought round with the Heron Club.
The Herons course played long off the whites due to recent rain plus it was breezy in places.
After all the matches the away team lost 2:1 but the home team won 2:1 so it was drawn 3:3 at that point. Then it came down to total holes up and that’s when we managed a narrow victory.
Thanks to Captain Brett and John Underwood who went through all the scores at the end to decide which team made it through.
Big shout out to all players who gave it all!
Thanks
Ian Mulkerrins
Ps the next round is being held on Sunday 30/6/24 its booked into the club Diary on IG make sure you keep the day free (Players & supporters)
