Jubilee Cup: Volunteers Needed

This is a plea from Peter Quilty who runs the Jubilee Cup....He needs more volunteers please:

Peter needs more people to step forward and help in busy periods like the semi final and final days and also to shadow the current committee to ensure we have robust succession plans in place.

• Note there were only 17 clubs represented at the AGM so a plea to the 31 clubs who didn’t attend – please don’t ignore this action and please consider whether you or someone at your club would like to help out and forward any names to me (Peter Quilty) for follow up.

• The time commitment doesn’t need to be that big - example roles or jobs include:

• a. Helping out at semi finals and finals , as a marshal, ball spotter, helping put kit out and collect at end of day , manning the roving scorecard buggy etc

• b. Helping to process results cards and keeping other information UpToDate like the order of merit tables (helping to automate tasks )

•  c. Writing comms articles, helping update the website and Facebook pages and reaching out to possible sponsors.

• d. Taking care of trophies and prizes, research/buying , getting embroidery and customization done etc

• e. Managing the roving scoreboards – printing labels for players names , bringing to venues and securing to buggies, cleaning boards after use etc/etc

• f. Managing the membership renewal process

• g. Overseeing the upkeep of the rules and helping resolve complaints?

• h. Taking notes at committee meetings and/or keeping checklists UpToDate.

• i. Keeping the contacts sheets file UpToDate and updating the various email distribution lists
