4.2 Ball on Footpath (part 2)
Having seen the answer to Q 4 part 1 now, what do you think if you were left handed ! (apart from the obvious 🤣) presumably you agree you would get relief to the right of the path which would leave you & the ball under the bush. Can you then move the ball so you can get a swing.

B) No
Answer: (B) NO (its a similar scenario to when your ball finishes under a tree its another decision what you want to do)

4. Ball on Footpath (Part 1)
This Q was raised by Rhys:- We've all been here before what do you do?
A) Play it as it lies
b) drop the ball to the right of the path
c) drop the ball to the left of the path
d) If you decide you can drop the ball either side, do you get added relief of
d1) one club length
d2) two club lengths

3. Unplayable Ball
Again in a recent match had, a ball lands in the middle of a heavy bush area and is unplayable, what are your options.
Answer ?
For a penalty shot and after marking your ball where it lies.
A) Get full relief + 1 club length (no nearer the hole)
B) Go back as far as you like keeping the point you landed in line with the pin.
C) Get full relief + 2 club length (no nearer the hole)
D) Drop your ball 2 club lengths from the point. (no nearer the hole)
E) Go back to the point you played you played your ball.

2. PLAYING THE WRONG BALL
In a recent 4 ball better ball match a question was raised over a provisional ball being played by the opposing team.
Answer 13/6/24 "B"
A) "No penalty" as the ball wasn’t in play as the original ball was found.
B) The hole is lost by the offending "team"
C) Only the "player" who struck the ball is out of the hole.

During a match Jamie F & I recently played (and won 😊) a question of a ball landing in a footprint in a bunker came into Q.

A) Play as it lies.
B) Pick rake & place on the sand.
C) Pick rake & drop (knee height)
