Once again the pace of play by members caused havoc on the course today, with one group coming in an hour after the group in front . 🫣😔

It’s inderstood the CC are looking into the rules to see what can be done to avoid a repeat situation going forward.

No explanation was given by the group the reasoning for the slow playšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

It’s unfortunate but necessary that this post needs to be recycled.

This is a timely reminder that a round of golf should take no more than 4hrs. The etiquette is that you should keep up with the group in front. Its NOT about keeping in front of the group behind.

If you loose touch with the group in front and are delaying the group behind allow them to play through.

A reminder you have a Maximum of 3mins to find a lost ball.

Play your own ball before going to search for your playing partners lost ball.

If in any doubt that your ball may be lost, always declare and play a provisional ball.

When playing stableford if you can’t score, pick up and walk to the next tee.

Be ready to play your shot when it’s your turn.

It’s recognised a brisk walk is good for your health.

The 15th green is a call up. After you get to the green please call up / invite the group behind to play their tee shot.

In a club competition if you take more than 4.5hrs a 2 shot penalty will be applied to each member of the group causing the delay.

In Summary PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE to other Golfers on the course. It’s not all about you.

Nb: It’s understood it was particularly slow out there today (Thurs 25/7/24 😩)
